Welcome to June! A fresh month has rolled in, and with it comes a transition here at Friends & Family Thrifting — a brand new tag color.
Here’s how it works: every single month, the fresh merchandise hitting our racks and shelves gets tagged in a brand new color. That color is our little signal to YOU — our eagle-eyed regulars — that these items just arrived. It’s your first chance to swoop in and grab the newest treasures before anyone else even knows they’re here.
Think of it as a head start. A heads-up. A secret handshake between us and our most loyal shoppers.
So… What’s the Color?
Ah. Well. About that.
We can’t quite bring ourselves to spell it out. (Where’s the fun in that?) Half the joy of a new month is the hunt — and we love watching the regulars walk in, glance at the racks, and get that little spark in their eyes when they figure it out.
But because we’re not completely mean, we’ve decided to drop a few hints. Consider this your cryptic crossword clue, your scavenger hunt riddle, your treasure map with the destination smudged just enough to keep things interesting.

Why We Do This
Beyond the fun of it, the new-tag-color system serves a real purpose. It helps us keep track of inventory turnover, it gives our amazing shoppers a reason to keep coming back, and most importantly — it rewards the folks who make it a habit to stop in regularly.
The early birds always get the best finds. That’s just the way thrifting works. And our monthly tag color is our way of giving those early birds a clear visual cue: “Hey — this is brand new. Grab it before someone else does.”

The new tags are already going up. Housewares, clothing, toys, books — anything that’s hit the floor this June will be wearing the new color. We’ve got fresh donations being processed daily, and we’ve been pulling some really fun items!
So stop by, take a stroll through the store, and see if you can spot the new tags. First one to point one out gets… well, the satisfaction of knowing they were the first.
