We had a plan for July. It was a good plan. July’s tag color was going to be blue. Clean, classic, easy to spot from across the store. What could go wrong?
Enter one of our wonderful volunteers, who happens to be color blind, who printed our fresh batch of July tags and picked a shade that is, shall we say, bold. Is it blue? Sort of. Is it purple? Also sort of.
Now, we had two options. We could reprint an entire run of tags, waste a pile of perfectly good ones, and pretend it never happened. Or we could do the thrift-store thing we do best: take something that wasn’t quite what anyone expected and give it a happy second life.
So please welcome July’s official tag color: BLURPLE. 💙💜
